Ten years in, the F&B industry decided what PenguinX has been quietly building deserves a name. The 2025 F&B Marketing Agency of the Year recognition isn't about a single campaign — it's about a model that turned a media company into an ecosystem and an ecosystem into an industry standard.
How we got here
PenguinX didn't start as an agency. It started as Torpenguin — a single channel speaking honestly to restaurant operators about the realities of running an F&B business. Fifteen years and 2.0M+ followers later, that audience became the foundation for everything else: events, education, and eventually the agency arm that brands hire us through.
The recognition reads as a single award. We read it as the industry validating a different way of doing F&B marketing — operator-first, ecosystem-led, and built on trust rather than spend.
What the model gets right
Conventional F&B agencies pitch from the outside. They borrow audiences, rent attention, and hope the story sticks. The PenguinX model inverts that. We owned the audience first, and we built every other capability — events, education, agency services — around it.
- Media reach: 2.0M+ operators across Torpenguin and Tungtua
- Events: 5 flagship properties convening 10,000+ industry participants a year
- Education: Restaurant MBA and the broader academy ecosystem
- Solution agency: 200+ brand partners served through Super Supp
What's next
The award is a checkpoint, not a destination. The work in 2026 is to make the model more accessible — to smaller F&B brands, to operators outside Bangkok, and to international clients trying to enter Thailand. The ecosystem only matters if it keeps growing what it can serve.
"Awards measure where you've been. The harder question is what the next decade looks like — and who else gets to grow inside this ecosystem."
