Impact is Thailand's largest event venue group — the operator behind some of the country's most important trade shows and conferences. When they decided to spin up a new F&B-focused business unit, they faced the same challenge any new initiative does: a great brand on paper, no relationship with the audience they wanted to serve.
The context
A new business unit needs three things fast: a commercial proposition operators recognize, a way to put it in front of them, and credible third-party validation. Building that organically takes years. PenguinX shortcut the timeline by plugging the new unit into the ecosystem we'd already built.
What we did
- Co-built the commercial narrative and positioning for the new F&B unit
- Hosted a launch alongside our event properties to put the brand in front of operators
- Coordinated joint programming where the Impact F&B team became visible at TRC, Damn Expo, and Restech
- Activated Torpenguin coverage to seed credibility before sales conversations
Why it worked
The new unit launched warm — into rooms full of operators who already knew who they were. The combination of joint event programming and editorial seeding compressed what would have been a multi-year market-entry into a single campaign cycle.
"We had the venue and the team. PenguinX gave us the room of operators that knew us before we walked in."
